ABOUT US

Kriti Kala Kendra is an art and theatre group founded by Mr. Nand Kishore Nanda in 1985, with a vision to bring people closer to Indian culture and its timeless stories through the performing arts. Since 1987, the group has been dedicated to staging Ramlila in Delhi, keeping alive the tradition of presenting the Ramayana through theatre, music, dance, and storytelling.

Over the years, Kriti Kala Kendra has carried its Ramlila performances across different parts of Delhi - DCM Colony (1987-1992), Trinagar (1993), Karol Bagh (1994-2007), Shivaji Enclave (2008), and Vrindavan (2011). Since 2009, the group has proudly continued its annual Ramlila tradition in East Punjabi Bagh, creating a space where generations come together to experience the timeless values and teachings of the Ramayana.

What makes Kriti Kala Kendra special is not only its long-standing legacy, but the people behind it. The group brings together artists and members with years of experience in direction, acting, dance, singing, music, stagecraft, and other performing arts. United by their love for theatre and culture, they dedicate their time, talent, and skills to every production.

For the members of Kriti Kala Kendra, Ramlila is more than a theatrical performance. It is a tradition, a responsibility, and a form of social service. Every performance is created with sincerity and devotion, with the aim of sharing the timeless ideals of truth, righteousness, courage, compassion, and the triumph of good over evil with audiences of all ages.

For nearly four decades, Kriti Kala Kendra has continued to nurture this tradition through the collective efforts of its artists, volunteers, and supporters. From one generation to the next, the group remains committed to keeping the spirit of Ramlila alive - on stage, in the community, and in the hearts of its audience.
